Sylvie Beney is Swiss and a native French speaker.
Spending years in the german region of Switzerland, in the USA, Central America and Canada, has allowed her to open herself up to many other cultures, ideologies and most of all, to other languages. She speaks fluently in English, German, Swiss German and Spanish.
Mrs Sylvie Beney completed her studies in French litterature and teaching, receiving the diploma of Canton de Vaud which acknowledges her teaching and educational capacities. She has a Bachelor’s degree in adult teaching, called “Brevet Fédéral de Formateur d’Adultes” (BFFA) which proves that she is able to organise and supervise adult teaching.
After years of teaching in public french schools in the canton of Vaud, Sylvie Beney focused on educating adults from all around the world. She has more than 20 years of practical experience. She has educated people from abroad who have been here for a short or long time, managers of international companies, students at IMD (Institute for Management Development), teachers and school administrators from the International School of Lausanne (ISL). She works every year tutoring students at ISL to get them ready for the IB (International Baccalaureate) and prepares candidates for the FIDE exam in order to apply for the swiss nationality.
Mother of three grown up children, active by nature with multiple interests, Sylvie Beney is apt to respond to your questions about practicality and organization, as well as giving lots of information, explanations and suggestions of many activities that can be done in the Léman Region or in Switzerland.
Mrs Beney is aware of many difficulties that Expats have on their arrival in Switzerland! One of her goals through her French teaching is also to help Expats integrate into the swiss community and feel more at ease during their time spent in our region.
